Cycle for Life- Riding for a Cure

Cycle for Life, Celebrate Life: ‘Vancouver to Austin’ 5000 km for cure is a project of the non-profit organization, GIVETOLIVE, an organization based in Canada whose mission is to raise awareness and funds for charities that are improving the lives of those suffering from unnecessary disease and death, by inspiring people to achieve extraordinary physical and emotional accomplishments.

The aim and main objective of this organization is to have a positive impact on the world and on ourselves by encouraging people to :
Remain Healthy
Give of themselves
Push themselves beyond their own internally-set boundaries.

These pictures were taken on 10/20/09 on their route through Northern Arizona by Wade of Visions Photography. This is a highly inspirational team of human beings who test their limits to let their loved one’s live, and through this 5000 Km ride, their strength, endurance and human capabilities is what will help drive the healing forces for those they ride for and help raise funds for a cure for Cancer!

We have also featured them on I-Report CNN and I will also be writing an article on them in the local newspaper.

Good luck and may your journey be blessed!
Health to your loved ones.

Good post. Im very impressed to see this. Last evening I was reading an article on Lisa Ray’s cancer condition and how she chose to go public with her side of the story rather than fading into oblivion. I had always admired her for she was one of the few gorgeous females in media spotlight and had the charm and grace that others did not. Was very sad about it but I pray for her continued strength and courage. She looks more beautiful to me now!

Actually Ish, you and me share so much in common. I have also always admired Lisa Ray, not only because she’s a Canadian from Ontario, Canada, where I also spent my childhood days growing up, but the fact that she takes unconventional demanding roles that others might not. I simply loved her work in ‘Water’ by Deepa Mehta and of course the music video of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan ‘Afreen Afreen’. Apart from acting..she is talented in so many ways! I hope God gives her the strength in the first cycle of treatment.

Having worked in the Oncology Dept….I have lost many dear friends to the ‘C’ menace and family members. So I really respect what these group of people are trying to do.

We have so much to do and learn…

I have worked in Oncology Dept too for some time – voluntarily. I use to spend a lot of time with the patients, talking to them and get the boredom out. It has always been a draining experience as you get more and more involved. My dream is to have a palliative care center and an old age home for people who cannot afford and… ah dream! it is still a dream…

No dear….dreams come true…only when we least expect them to. Perhaps we both can work on this one day. We must never stop dreaming. Because your soul feels their pain, you will become drained. It is only natural.
